The camera has a built-in web server, allowing it to be plugged straight into a network connection without the need of a PC. The camera can be viewed locally via a Local Area Network or from anywhere via the Internet using a broadband connection.

The Panasonic BL-C20 features Colour Night View Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness setting when the room light is dimmed. This IP camera provides up to 7.5 frames per second (FPS) in 640x480 video resolution or up to 15 fps at 320x240 or 160x120.
