The MX10 Day/Night is a high image quality camera with a resolution of 1.3 million pixels and is fully browser-based – no software installation or plug-ins are required. Simple connection can be made via Ethernet, Broadband ADSL or ISDN.

Camera configuration and playback of recorded images can be made from any browser anywhere in the world. The sophisticated lip-synchronous audio ensures sound is recorded along with video while maintaining optimum compression and fast image and data transmission. Transmission using the innovative Mobotix MxPEG compression scheme (patent pending) via Ethernet/DSL and ISDN enables minimum network load.

Surveillance can be made visually and with integrated sound using the cameras audio channel and can be observed using a standard browser like Internet Explorer. Integrated event-controlled or scheduled recording is possible and Live recording can be processed of up to 30 cameras with full 25 frames per second each on one single Pentium 4-class PC – audio included.

There is no limitation regarding the number of cameras and storage media – the system remains scalable. Long-term storage of videos or individual images can be made via recycling storage facility (ring buffer) on a standard PC or file server. In addition there is built-in special memory storage that can compensate for network failure and can manage up to 4,000 images or 6 minutes video.

Since the camera system has no moving parts, it is maintenance-free and weatherproof from -30°C to +60°C (-22°F to +140°F) . Alarm notification is via email, SMS or phone call. A MxPEG Viewer can be used with a layout editor for easily creating site maps with freely movable live video streams. Backlight correction ensures over or under-illuminated image areas are compensated for using user-definable exposure areas to ensure optimum image detail.

Additional professional features for the MX10-WT Day/Night include sensors, video motion detectors, infrared sensor, microphone and loudspeaker as well as Scheduled display of transparent logos for commercial advertising or information announcements.

What you need to set up system:

• A regular straight Category 5 or 6 Ethernet cable
• An available port on your hub, switch or router
• For WLAN (802.11b) connection, use an 802.11b Wireless Device Point plus 802.11b Wireless Access Point or wireless broadband router

Installation methods:

The Mobotix MX10-WT Day/Night is designed for installation on an Ethernet network. This involves assigning it an IP address, automatically or manually. Depending on how your network is configured, the following methods may be used:

• Internet Dynamic DNS Services available
• Mobotix IP Utility for Windows
• From a command prompt, arp -s and ping may be used On a mac, simply go to My network devices in the Safari browser
